It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of June Reece, who died peacefully on December 22, 2025. June was born May 20, 1938, in the Rural Municipality of Woodlea, Manitoba.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald (Don) Reece; her parents, Carl and Alice; and her sisters, Eileen and Evelynn. She is survived by her sons, Clinton (Pam) and Clayton (Ruth); and her sisters, Joyce, Doreen, Beverley, Gladys, and Pat; as well as her grandchildren Brendan (Erika), Alex (Rachel), C.J., and Camron, and her great-grandchildren Everett and Ryden.
While she was active in family business ventures, her greatest joy came from family and her friendships made through golf, curling, and Scrabble. She was particularly passionate about curling, winning the Senior Women's Curling Provincial Championship for Manitoba and later going on to coach others. She also made friends through her volunteer work at Ronald McDonald House.
As her mobility declined, her grandchildren and friends stepped forward with kindness—especially Linnea and her family. The family would also like to thank her niece, Bub, for her care and support in her final hours.
June will be remembered for her quiet strength, generosity, and deep care for others. In keeping with her wishes, a funeral is not planned. Those wishing to honour June may consider a donation to Ronald McDonald House.

Clayton, Ruth, Clinton, Pam and families .. I wish to send my condolences to all of you! Your mom was an amazing friend and will be missed! She was a diligent business person and had many friends through her curling and golf as well as a close family connection with her sisters and nieces and nephews! Anyone fortunate enough to be her friend enjoyed her delicious baking and games of scrabble and cards! She was an inspiration to all of us with many health issues but always had a positive attitude despite these challenges! But most of all the center of her life were all of you… she loved all of you with all her heart and was so excited to spend time with her new grandchildren.. thinking of you at this time! My sincere condolences to your family. I knew June through our mutual connnection to Ronald McDonald House. Although I worked at the House and June volunteered at the Family Room inside Children's Hospital, we crossed paths frequently. Every time you'd see June she'd be busting around taking care of the families and always smiling. I will always remember her positive attitude! - Posted by: Kerry Mushumanski (Friend) on: Jan 16, 2026

We are so sorry and shocked to hear of June passing away. We had talked to her just before we left for holidays and she said when you guys get back we will get together. At one time we lived across the street from June. We would have her over for dinner several times and she would have us over for dinner as well. June was a great lovable person and she would always phone and ask our you guys up for a game of scrabble. We would play scrabble with June several times a week. We will miss her terribly. Our hearts have been broken. Our condolences to the entire family. God just gained the best scrabble player when he called June home. God bless you and keep you. Forever in our hearts. Dear Clinton, Pam, CJ, Camron and the rest of all the loving family and friends you mentioned, what a sweet photo of your mom in her tribute. It is nice to see her smile as part of the memories, especially in honouring her passing. I am so sorry though. That is a difficult passage to move through in life. I was glad to read that she went, peacefully. Learning that she was a curler, a Scrabble player and Ronald McDonald volunteer paints a vivid picture of someone who lived and engaged, active and social life, mindful of others. She was clearly well loved. Sending you all thoughts of comfort. I wish for you that your thoughts of your mom bring back feelings from the very best moments spent together. - Posted by: Lisa Dymond (Extended family) on: Jan 14, 2026
